Position Title: Corporate Legal & Compliance Manager (Arabic Speaking)

Location: Dubai Industrial City, Dubai

Unit/ Division/ Department/ Section: Legal

JOB PURPOSE: Handle the full range of the group’s legal issues and be responsible for advising on commercial and business development arrangements. Monitor the risk environment and act to reduce the group’s risk exposure. Suggest process improvements for the legal team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Compliance & Governance

• Developing and implementing an effective legal compliance program. (manuals, policies, guidelines) etc.
• Ensuring that FPIG adheres to government regulations — domestically as well as regionally.
• Make sure that employees are following internal compliance policies.
• Compliance risk captures the legal and financial penalties for failing to act under internal and external regulations and legislature.
• Conduct the appropriate investigation to identify any suspicious activity
• Distributing the rights and responsibilities in the business.
• Setting the decisions- making rules and procedures.

Risk Management

• Enhance the due diligence and KYC system to minimize the risk of business transactions.
• Identifying existing and future red flags in the group.

Workflow Digitalization

• Develop the interdisciplinary coordination between the legal/ Finance/ Credit Control.
• Develop with the business system a digital litigation tracking report.

Communication (Internal/ External): Create a clear channel internally facilitating external communication.

Agreement’s revision, drafting, and negotiating.:

• Revising existing and future agreements and drafting new agreements to minimize the cost of the business.
• Conduct research to minimize the cost of any future business engagement.

 Group litigations follow up

• Conduct regular follows up with the external resources to keep the management updated with the right information on the ongoing lawsuits.

Reporting and strategy

• Create the needed reports and strategize accordingly to ensure smooth integration of the business and to raise awareness continuously.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law
• Professional legal qualifications

Preferred Experience: 5 to 8 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate legal department

Job-Specific Skills:

• Keep up to date with laws and procedures related to the group’s business
• Risk management and compliance
• Draft and negotiate key agreements in line with business objectives
• Ensure advice or influence is in line with values, ethics and norms of the group
• Good communication skills in Arabic & Englishis mandatory
