Job Description

Reports to: Finance Business Partner, Americas

Category: FTE

Unit / Division / Department / Section: Finance & IT

Location: FPI Houston, Texas

 

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure all accounting transactions are accurately undertaken and completed in accordance with the group finance and LN procedures.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accounts Receivable

  • Process and prepare all customer and intercompany invoices
  • Review PO/contracts for ensuring proper invoice submission
  • Collect invoice support from corresponding department
  • Prepare, report, and file all state tax, franchise tax, and local sales tax as required by law
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Maintain A/R filing system
  • Evaluate new customer credit worthiness and onboard customer with appropriate documentation
  • Coordinate with local and international project teams
  • Lead collection effort on past due customers

 Collections

  • Communicate statement of accounts to customers
  • Establish process for collection on past due accounts
  • Recommend holds for any delinquent accounts

 Forecasting

  • Produce estimated monthly collection targets
  • Assist with forecasting billing and incoming cashflow

 Reconciliations

  • Maintain bank reconciliation for incoming cashflow
  • Reconcile AR-related balance sheet accounts
  • Coordinate with AP for monthly accrual-related reconciliations

 Closing and Audits

  • Process monthly invoicing by end of final calendar day for closing
  • Assist with tax audits on occasion
  • Provide supporting documentation for financial audits
  • Participate in physical inventory count for internal and external audits

  HSE

  • Comply with relevant safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions.
  • Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks.
  • Keep operational areas clean and organized to prevent accidents.
  • Report unsafe acts, incidents, or safety violations.

 SPAN OF COMMUNICATION

  • Internal: All Dept. Managers,
  • External: Auditors, Vendors, Consultants

Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or deemed sufficient by management
  • Preferred Accounting Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience

Computer Skills Requirements:

  •  Previous ERP experience
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook
